Re-applied CPU paste and"no boot"

I've just re-applied cpu paste and now my computer wont boot, well it will get to and into the bios but blue screen or freezes then blue screens before going anyfurther. Have I applied to much thermal paste or broken my CPU its an AMD8120 please help,

As Brett stated, reconnecting the CPU Fan is very important. Usually it won't boot without it, but it could be your problem. How much did you use? Please tell me you didn't use the whole tube. All you need is a small dab of it.

You say you can get into BIOS setup. Can you move around in BIOS and make changes like normal? If so, simply removing/replacing the CPU should have no affect on booting to the O/S. You may have dislodged a connection or even disturbed the memory sticks. Remove and reseat the memory sticks. Try booting with just one stick in the 1st slot. If all else fails, try booting to the Windows installation disk. See if the restore option will allow you to restore to an earlier time.
