Just starts fans

Hello, I just finished building and hit the button to nothing but fans starting. I have Rosewill Ranger case, Asrock B75 Pro3 MB, Intel I5-2400 processor, Thermaltake TR2 500 w cable power supply and Gskill memory. 4 fans including the het cink and all start but not even a beep. Thanks Tom

are you sure that you plugged in all the correct cables? if you have, it might sound as if you have a defective part.

make sure on the mb that the 24 pin and 4/8 pin atx cables are plugged in if the other small atx cable is not plugged in the mb wont boot. also check that the video card has it 6 or 8 pin cables connected some video cards have two 6 pin connector. the other thing i would do is take the mb and power supply out of the case and see if you shorted the mb to the case.

I have the cable from the power supply (24 pin) hooked up and all the cables from the case and even the HD but what is the 4/8 pin ATX cable your talking about?

its the one that plugs into the motherboard usually at the top left corner. it supplies power to the CPU
