It's my first time building a PC, so I'm wondering if the parts I listed are compatible. I'll be using it for gaming, so I"m wondering if this build, if compatible, will be able to run D3 and Guild Wars 2 on high settings at least. Thanks

Everything is technically compatible. If you are getting the unlocked CPU, you should be getting a Z77 board.

My budget is $1000. I'm also getting a monitor as well, so it's going to bring it over a bit which I'm fine with. Also, do you mind explaining what you mean by unlocked? Thanks for your reply.

by unlocked he means like over clocking if you know what that means like the 3570k is unlocked and easy to over clock.
and a Z77 board makes it easier to overclock like with my mobo and cpu it was go into the bios and change the clock to 4.0 or what ever clock speed you want.. but if you choose to over clock you want a cpu cooler..

Do you see that build I posted? Take a good long hard look at that build because that's pretty much what you want for your budget and the games you plan on playing. Also you need 1333hz RAM for that H61 you have up there. It doesn't support 1600hz RAM.

Yeah I'll check that out. I just want to know if the parts I selected were compatible and understand why if they were not, so I can improve my knowledge instead of just asking for someone to do it for me. Thank you btw.
