Hello,
It would seem the blue screen of death has struck again. After a month long pause i fired up Skyrim.
Upon going into the town hall in Morthal the computer crashed and will not start up in normal mode due to an "attempt to reset display driver and timeout failed" message. I can start normally up untill the windows login, after that it flashes "ye olde blue screene of deathe" (and that message, and must now start up in safe mode.

I am using 2 NVIDIA GTX 570s with SLI, tho i dont think these to be the culprits.
Im not too savvy with this, and I realy dont want to replace graphics cards for nothing so any help would be appreciated

Can you boot to the Win installation disk and do a restore to an earlier time? I'm assuming you are using Windows 7. If you can restore to an earlier time, or if you can't and have to boot to safe mode, download and run CCleaner and have it do the Clean and Registry both. You may also have some malware causing issues or even a virus. I like MSE for virus and Malwarebytes for malware protection/removal.

If you can get things back to being able to boot to windows, you may want to run Driver Sweeper if you have had several driver upgrades in the past. In the case of your video driver, you'd uninstall it and boot to safe mode. Then run DS and have it remove any remnants of ATI, AMD, or Nvidia drivers it finds. Re-boot and install the lastest driver for your card(s).
