Monitor Calibration

I already asked about this, but didn't get any feedback. After further research, I concluded that my monitor needs to be calibrated. I'm not sure about how this is supposed to go... I want the best calibration I can get so I can get the best color quality and tone out of my monitor so my games look better. Does anyone recommend a simple calibration test, or any advice? Help would be much appreciated.

Once you've set the contrast and brightness with all the on-screen tests, to properly calibrate your monitors colour and temperature you will need to use a colorimeter. These can be picked up at most photography stores. This link explains it a bit further.
