My Computer wont work! AHHHH!

I built a computer today and when i booted it up my monitor said there was no signal.
Any ideas about what could have gone worng?

Could you give us a little more info?

What kind of cable are you using to connect your computer to the monitor? Is the cable plugged into the video card or the monitor? What are your specs? Did you try an external build before you built the computer inside the case, or is this your first attempt at turning it on?

Sorry, I meant to ask if the cable is plugged into the video card or the motherboard, not monitor.
