Network printer through switch

Ok, I have 4 computers and a printer connected to a switch. I've added the printer to all the computers and they all are connected to it sometimes. For some reason only 1 or 2 of the computers will work on the printer at a given time. When one starts working another stops working, it's a vicious circle. I need some help getting this to work smoothly as I need to get a training room setup in a couple of hours. So if anyone has a solution it would be greatly appreciated
