About to purchase my new gaming system and was looking for some final thoughts/opinions. Anything I can swap out to lessen the price without sacrificing performance?, or is what I have now sufficient for a powerful gaming rig that I will also be using to stream game play.

You Could save money on the case, look at a CM HAF 912 save 55 bucks

less HDD space 500 GB save 30 bucks

4 Gb ram save 20 bucks

^ all the above will save you 100 bucks + or - and not change your game play, its up to you

You also can save money buy buying some parts at a local PC shop to save shipping, some will price match.

Also look for combos http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.975453

It look like a very wellrounded build !

Going to 4GB of RAM would mean that you often can't have stuff such as a web browser open during gaming. Sure, you could go to 4GB, but it would reduce the system's capabilities, even though it technically wouldn't hurt performance. Besides, with a build that high end, there's little reason to have less than 8GB of RAM if you can afford it. Future-proofing can be important and 4GB of RAM can get dangerously close to not being enough already in many games and some games need more in some situations.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping I could alter something like the PSU but I guess I'm satisfied with what I have. Having a stronger PSU then I need helps for future upgrade -- so I guess I can look at it that way :)! Anyway, thanks a lot for the above posters insights

You can buy a QL 550W PSU and be good, but your not going to add a 2nd GPU down the road!!! If you only want a single GPU setup, change the PSU to 550W and look for a cheeper mobo with only 1 PCI E 3.0
