If I upgrade my CPU from an i52320 to an i53570, will it improve frame rates in games?

-2gb evga gtx 670 ftw
-8gb RAM 1600mhz
-Mobo doesnt support sli or o/c
-windows 7 64bit
-700watt psu

you would have to spend to upgrade motherboard as well, so would not be worth it. Though with 1155 socket motherboards also have 3rd gen. pci , which your card is capable of.

what makes you think that you would have to upgrade the motherboard both sandys and ivys are both socket 1155 of which most boards support both thru bios updates, so long as its the right chipset to allow overclocking of course if thats what is wanted. yeah may not unlock pci-e3.0 and native usb 3 but will still be fine more than likely to swap chips over.
