guys i am really confused between two things

i want to build a machine purely for gaming
i am building for first time
and i really dont want to upgrade it anytime soon.it should go on for 3 years at least

i am confused very much

2 days ago i decided for i3 6870 and z77
and finalized this config

bt now i came to know about haswell which will require lga1150 socket type

should i wait for haswell and a corresponding mobo untill next year

or get i3/i5,6870hd for now and get going

will future game be really dependant on haswell?

There will ALWAYS be a better CPU coming out in a few months, no matter when you buy your system. Nope, haswell won't bring around anything dramatic as far as gaming is concerned.

I say get the i3 system you planned for, and start enjoying your gaming already!!! :)

I'd get a Trinity APU, disable the IGP, and overclock the heck out of it instead of an i3. i3 simply can't keep up with that. A Radeon 7850 would also br around a 6870 in price despite using much less power and performing much better. Haswell won't be out for a while and is not expected to make a big difference in CPU performance right now nor even if it does, will games need Haswell to run properly. However, I'm not telling you anything that I haven't already said, so I won't rant about it again.

If you insist on Intel, then this is the cheapest board that I can suggest:

This would be better if you don't mind spending a little more.

An Ivy Bridge CPU will be fine for games. Hell, I can still play games with my Intel C2Q Q9450 which was released back in 2008. Haswell will be out sometime between April 2013 and June 2013. Some people believe it will not be a significant performance increase over Ivy Bridge and that the real performance increase is slated for Broadwell which will be coming out in 2014.

Skylake is Intel's next generation CPU architecture design after Haswell which will be coming out in 2015 and will be a new socket as well.
