Problem to my GPU?

Last response: in Graphics & Displays

My video card sometimes fails to read, the error is when watching or sometimes surfing the net the whole screen goes violet, well not all violet but you can see the screen that your working on its like pixelated.And when that occur I totally lost my control to my desktop and I dont have any choice but to force restart it.

Now I'm just wondering if my video card really has something to do with it, because lately my HDD random clicks and before it clicks the loading of my work on desktop stops like 2-5 secs and then my hdd clicks...

My video card is: GTX 560 Twin Frozn II OC edition
My HDD are: 1tb seagate barracuda 7200rpm and 500gb seagate barracuda 7200rpm

the clicking sound is a hd that failing run seatools on your drive and if it fails rma it out.
on the video card issue make sure you got the newest drivers loaded. also check that the fans are spinng and not blocked with dust or a wire. als check that your ps can handle that video card. the max wattage of the ps is greater then you need.
download fanspeed or msi afterburner and look at the gpu temps. as your card is overclocked from the vendor try with msi afterburner to put the card back to stock speeds and see if it still locks up.

All I know is if my hd was clicking, I would immediately do a backup of any important data (if you still can) and run Seagate's diagnostic software (Seatools or something like that).

Also need to know the rest of your components including power supply make and model.

@smorizio

I just download and installed the MSI afterburner, I realized that I have no afterburner on my desktop since I re-format my desktop almost 2-3 months ago. I also didnt know that my GPU was overclocked at the beginning... any way to know if my GPU is overclocked via afterburner? I will provide some screenshot if you guys ask...

look at nvidia web site for the standard clock speed of your gpu. when you open up afterburner it tell you on the first page your gpu clock speed and the memory bus speed of the gpu. if it higher then stock speed the video card is overclocked. in afterburner you should be able to reclock it back to stock speeds.
