Hi,
just bought a gigabyte nvidia gt430 - got a 450w psu, but didn't realise the 12V 22A requirement. OK, my own fault. However....

As this card has no 'external' power sockets it must suck all the power from the main board, how?! If it needs, OK not 22A but it must be considerable, how the h*** through a PCI-E slot? the contacts look way to small for any serious power?

Please put me right... TIA

Andy

Possibly, but that's still 6.25A at 12V, I'm guessing multiple contacts for power on the card, but 6A+ is alot.
