Ok, so my current cpu cant play guild wars 2 very well (12~30fps in populated areas) I am looking for an upgrade and I know intel is the best way to go, but I dont have the money for an intel board and cpu.

I know the A10-5800k doesnt have L3 caches but I have a Asus EAH 6670 ----->http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

The A10-5800k dual-gpus with the 6670, so I cant decided if the boost of graphics will be better then getting the AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE which has 6MB L3 cache

Thanks for reading!

Gaming Resolution: 1920x1080
Hoping to play Guild Wars 2 60+fps (in populated areas)

Ok, to get a few things stright, The A10-5800K needs a board that has an FM2 socket, While the Phenom II x4 965 needs an AM2+ (Note the plus) or AM3 socket. So AM2+/AM3 is not compatible with the FM2 socket, Pin layout is different.

Out of the 2 I would pick the Phenom II x4 965 with an AM2+/AM3 board, That will give you the best performance out of the 2.

Also if you into overclocking I would get the Phenom II x4 955 and OC it a little, its cheaper, Or heck even cheaper get the Athlon II x4 640, Lacks the cache but isn't a big deal in gaming.

A10-5800K has an on board video card which is way it uses the FM2 socket, since you have a video card, I wouldn't worry to much about the A10-5800K.

^^ Beside that, what are the advantages of using the phenom than the currently released a10-5800K. I'm interested in thread, cause as of now, I'm thinking which one I should buy.

Actually, the Phenom II can use AM3 or AM3+. I'd wait two weeks and get the Piledriver FX-4350.

If the Vishera is much better than Phenoms, then I'm gonna wait. Phenom are pretty outdated processor, but are still good.

I am really considering the A10-8500k due to the dual graphics, because I have the 6670 Graphics card

if all you're worried about is Guild Wars 2 the new APU may run it fine without the extra card. Having the extra card should enhance that......... however, that would be a guess because i could only find these recommended system requirements on one site ........................
