AMD only option for IDE support on budget build?

Hello,

I am helping a friend upgrade his ancient computer, which consists of an Athlon 64 Single Core and 1GB PC133. He is on a tight budget so I am looking for the lowest price upgrade. Only four components are needed: CPU, Mobo, RAM, PSU.

1DVDROM (IDE) and a 750GB HD (IDE) will be used. I am not sure if I can use a PCI IDE card for a boot hard drive. Here are the parts I found with a motherboard with onboard IDE:

Any suggestions to get the build price down even more while maintaining IDE support? Also I know Thermaltake PSU aren't great, not sure if there are alternatives that are cheaper/better.

Your at $180 and you want to go lower? You go any lower and it won't be an upgrade anymore.

No $180 is fine, just wanted to see if there were any other cheaper alternatives before I pull the trigger.

Should close around $150, gives you a win7 license. A6-3620 2.2GHz 4GB 500GB

You won't do much better then the build you spec'd but if you wanted IDE and Intel you'd get a PCI IDE card, $10-$20.
