hii every one , i am new to tom's hardware so please forgive me if i have done any mistakes .

i am willing to buy xfx ati radeon hd 5770 for my pc but iam not sure whether my pc will be able to handle it .

here is my system specs .

intel core 2 duo E7500 @2.93 ghz .
ram - 2gb ( asus blitz ).
hdd- 320 gb
gpu - intel g33/31 chipset 256 mb.
mobo - asus p5kpl-am in.
psu - i ball lps223-400.

and if i have to change my psu which psu should i get and is it compulsory to buy a cooler for my pc .
please help me .

I would suggest you upgrade your PSU :) And I don't think you would need a new cooler, have you had any problems with overheating in the past? If not, no you don't.

But a new power supply is a must. Here are some recommendations.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026&Tpk=cx430 -This one will be good enough for your PC and the 5770 :) decently priced too!
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207018 (This is the one I personally use in my HTPC)

Any from that list is fine. Though if you prefer something different, I would stick with Corsair, Seasonic, and Antec (Preferably around the 380-450w as well  )

Hello,
I am running a Sapphire HD 6850 with a CoolerMaster eXtreme Power Plus 460w.My system specifications are-
Intel Core2Duo E7400.
3.00GB Ram.
500GB HDD(Internal)
I too had the intel g33/g31 chipset on my Hp pc but thanks to Tom's Hardware,I bought the HD 6850.If you don't like the CoolerMaster, you can go for the Corsair cx 430,which I am told,is better than my PSU.
