Displayport to dvi adapter wont go higher resolution

Hello,
I purchased a Dell 1600. It has 2 Display ports and 1 DVI.
I have 3 monitors (A,B,C) all DVI. I connect 2 monitors (A,B) via DP-DVI adapter and one monitor (C) directly to the DVI port.
Monitors A,B can only reach max resolution at 1280x800. And monitor C (plug direct to DVI) can reach max at 2560x1600.
All monitors are the same size. Why cant I reach 2580x800 on all? Is the DP-DVI adapter restricting this?

Yes, you are right the DP-DVI is restricting your display.
