Will a 460 watt psu be okay?

I have an i5 2500k proccessro and I am getting a radeon 6870 graphics card. I have a 460 watt psu and it says it needs a 500 watt most people say I will be okay are they right??

If you have the Cooler Master Elite Power 460W or eXtreme Power Plus 460W then no, it is definitely not advisable to use a 6870 with it.

You could also use this if you are willing to use 4pin peripheral (molex) to PCIe adapters to get the second 6pin PCIe connector that a 6870 needs.
