I have a computer, that works extremely slowly, with the following specs:

HP Pavilion Slimline Model s3200z
1 GB RAM
Windows Vista Basic OS
NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 GPU
140 GB Hard Drive
AMD Athlon Single Core Processor (2.4 Ghz)

I was wondering, If I were to uprgrade this computer, what hardware should I get to improve its performance?

Well, it's hard to make a small case PC work well for gaming. If you wanted something other than gaming (like video editing) then post what you'll use the PC for.

you have 160 Watt PSU
Integrated Graphics (GeForce 6150 LE)
athlon in the range 3800+ to 4600+ (65w)
1 or 2 GB mem

You could
(1) upgrade memory. Both your memory dimm slots are occupied. Buy a 2GB dimm and throw away one of your current 1/2gb dimms. That gets you to 2.5GB. $25 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231147
(2) add in a video card. You need a short low profile card. This one should work. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121441 (low power with DDR3 not DDR5) $65.

Or you can buy a new computer that will substantially outperform your upgraded computer for $350 and get an upgrade to win8 when win8 ships.
