Power Pins?

I have a question if one had a 24 pin motherboard, can one use a 20+4 pin powersupply?

20+4=24... You do the math. :lol:
Just joking.
20+4 means 20 for old 20 pin MB's and a detachable 4 you can add (slides on or off) for new 24 pin MB's
But don’t confuse the 4 pin of a 20+4 with the similar looking +12v power 4 pin that most new PSU's come with (2 ea. yellow and black wires) that goes on your MB next to the CPU. They are not the same voltages.
