So I just received a Sapphire 6870 Flex edition video card as a gift. I was running a GTS-450 for a while. Never really needed anything fancy, the most demanding thing I even played was Starcraft 2. But I have been contemplating on upgrading for a long time. I had a lot of trouble getting the 6870 installed and running right. Had a bunch of snow problems in the display and everything.

So my question, should I stick with the 6870, or should i upgrade even further? I was thinking about going with a GTX-680. Or will the 6870 last a while, and then I can just upgrade the card in 2 years when I build a whole new rig.

I am running off an AMD quad core, clocked at 3Ghz, with 16GB ram. of a OCz 1000 Watt Power Supply.

Upgrading is really up to you. If you're not happy with the performance of the games you play, then upgrade. That card should last you a good year and a half to 2 years, though if you don't mind lowering the graphics a bit.
