That should be a very nice gamer at the 720p resolution of that monitor. But watch for sales. i.e. If you're a regular Newegg customer and get their flyer, Windows 7 x64 OEM is $20 off for this weekend. One other thing; I wouldn't expect the 2nd PCIe slot to be much good for Xfire if you ever switch to AMD cards. PCIe @ X4 just doesn't cut it. Stay with a single Nvidia or AMD card.

I just put together a budget gamer for resale that is almost identical. PhIIX4 965 but with a HD 6870 for 1080p use. It's a surprisingly good gamer.

The mb is a dead end AM# part . Look for an AM3+ board with a 970 or 990 series chipset . They will allow for future updates .

You can save money by using 2 x2 gig of RAM . That wont affect gaming performance at all , and will free up some money for the better motherboard , or to upgrade the graphics card to a radeon 6850

You need a 450 watt psu for this build , so you can save some there too . Stick with 80+ bronze rated units
