AT&T dsl: any alternatives to their 2wire router

I'm having my regularly-scheduled problems with my at&t 2wire router cutting in and out.

Are there any better quality routers (with wi-fi) I can buy to work with my at&t dsl?

I don't want to buy another one of these POS 2wire routers for $100.

  1. personally I would get a Motorola modem and add a separate router

Why do you recommend going that route?
  3. from personal experience I had better results with the wireless using a separate router. also it easier to solve connection issues.

Motorola makes great DSL and Cable modems.

a router does not need to be expensive.
