Corsair H80
8GB Ram 2133Mhz

1TB WD Caviar Black 7200rpm
2x GTX 570 in SLI
24x DVD/CD burner

BAD!

overkill on a PSU is as bad as under powering. PSUs substantially lose efficiency under 20% load and get hot sitting there doing nothing.

I would assume its just a joke, because like he said, he didnt give us a budget, so he picked an overly unnecessary one that has the power to power up 3 high end cards

still bad. a diamond encrusted gold plated 600 watt would have been much more appropriate

+1,if OP forgets to mention his budget than it's not that you have to suggest the most expensive or highest capacity unit.
more than required is waste.
@OP,for your setup, a quality 850w is enough.i would suggest-
corsair tx850 v2-

xfx core edition 850w-

lepa(enermax) 850w modular-

for a slightly higher capacity unit(900w)-
lepa 900w gold modular-

still too HIGH!
GeForce GTX 570 SLI review
GeForce GTX 570 in 2-way SLI

A second card requires you to add another ~225 Watts. You need a 750+ Watt power supply unit if you use it in a high-end system [strike](800+ to a KiloWatt is recommended if you plan on any overclocking).[/strike] don't look at that!!
:kaola:

(just kidding hellfire :) )
