Need advice with a dual card setup

Last response: in Graphics & Displays

I recently came across 2 new 6850's for $80 each, will these two cards run everything at 1080p with all graphics maxed on everything? I had purchased a 560 ti to pair with my current one, but I would rather have the lower power cards, I could simply sell the two 560 ti's and walk away making a few bucks. What do you guys think?

My system:
2500k @ 4.6
560 ti @ 950
Asrock Extreme4 Gen 1 P67
Antec TP 750W

As you can see you won't be able to max out every game at 1080 and hit 60FPS. But the setup should be good enough to give you good detail settings with playable frame rates.

One word of warning, 6850s are supposed to suffer from a lot of microstutter. Not everyone is bothered by this but if you are you won't like the results.

Discussion related to your topic:-

I would never go for 2x6850 when I have 2x560Ti which are pretty good in comparison to 2x6850 setup.

2x560Ti can let you play at a very decent FPS with a great performance on 1080p whereas you would be able to get that performance from 6850 setup.

For making few bugs you are sacrificing your performance as well as better graphical experience on gaming.

Recommendation:-Don't go for it.Just stick to your 2x560Ti setup.

I would buy it and then sell them on ebay.

Or sell them to a forum member. I'm in the market for a GPU upgrade from my 5750 which I doubt will play Diablo 3 as well as I'd like. Not sure I want to spend $200 on such a setup however.
