Need help with a budget of 450$
Well my friend wants a 450$ pc where he can just watch movies(1080p) and play his games without lag, it's not high end games, but those free online games e.g Vindictus. If anyone can contribute that would be helpful. I would need a case also, Thanks!
If you don't need an OS you could build this for less than $450 and it shouldn't have a problem with any current game assuming you don't mind lowering settings a bit.
Intel Pentium G620
4GB G.Skill NS 1333Mhz
Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200RPM
Sapphire HD 7750 1GB
Fractal Design Core 1000
LG DVD Burner
Total - $436.92 on Newegg
If you do need an OS you could build something around an AMD A8 processor to save cash, it has onboard graphics that should be good enough for low settings @ 720P so you wouldn't need to buy a graphics card yet.

jmsellars1 said:Agreed, that A8 build should be good. If he needs an OS he can leave the graphics cards and extra fan until he can afford them. It would still be OK for lower settings.
No, it's not farmville, it's like one of those Desktop Games, Combat arms, the full screen free to play ones. I got the O.S covered so that isn't a worry to me, would it be possible to get a CPU cooler, perhaps a cheap one that works decently and a nicer looking case lol ?
no rea need for a cooler with that CPU. for an extra $10 you can get the unlocked A8-3870 that starts at 3.0 GHz. The built-in cooler for either this or the unlocked model should be good to overclock to 3.3 to 3.4 GHz.
a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO should run about $30 and get either APU to 3.6GHz.
for a slightly nicer case, you can get a Rosewill Blackbone for the same price as the fan and R218:
the a8 Build with the 6670 should do 45-55 fps at most shooters at 1680x1050, 35-45 fps at 1920x1080 at mmedium settings, at stock. Better in DirectX 11 games (50-60 fps at 1680)
