I am about to rebuild my custom rig that just died on me and I am switching from AMD to Intel.

I am looking at this motherboard:

ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157271

I was then looking through TH's buyers guide for graphics cards. My question is will a Radeon graphics
card work with an intel motherboard?

I was looking at something like this (my price range is something like $100-160) :

XFX HD-679X-ZRFC Radeon HD 6790 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150564&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-NA-_-NA

I was also concerned about how big that card may be. I have a medium sized case and don't want something that wont' be able to fit.

If anyone has any suggestions for something that might work better with that motherboard and size of case please let me know. Any help will be appreciated. I will be playing video games, but only League of Legends which I don't believe is too demanding on a video card.

Thank you.

When it comes to the Memory Interface is 256-bit a big difference compared to the 128-bit in terms of gaming?

I noticed the jump from 128 to 256 caused a decent price increase. If that's not a big deal for gaming, what is a big deal in terms of gaming?

Alright I wasn't expecting it to be high grade when it was so cheap.

The game I play says their recommended requirements are:

GeForce 8800 or equivalent video card (Dedicated GPU with 512MB+ Video Memory(VRAM))

This card passes with flying colors then since it says 1GB of memory size, amirite?
