or a

2.5GHz Intel Core i5-2450m Dual-Core with 6GB DDR3 & 500GB 5400RPM

There are no new external graphics card solutions for laptops so no im pretty sure he's not buying one.Well he could buy a 5 year old HD 3870M but... it's pretty useless.
So yeah the AMD is just much, much , much... better(for gaming).There shouldn't even be a comparison between them.

Technically, OP could buy an external wired PCIe or thunderbolt solution for external graphics, but, well, it doesn't work all that well, its pretty expensive, and it's bothersome to set up and take apart.
