Hellow.
I wanna buy a new computer and I am stuck between a i5 or an i7. If I go i5.. I will have some money to buy an aftermarket cooler while the i7 will stay stock. I will be gaming for the most part but will be video editing. Rendering 1 video per day overnight. I will use Sony Vegas and will use GPU acceleration (HD7970). Which one should I get? Thanks in advance.

i5. No reason to get an i7 unless you work in heavily threaded apps. Which gaming is not.

As far as vegas and GPGPU go, depends on what exactly you are doing. And how much of it you will do.

Well generally Core i7 CPU's are better than Core i5 CPU's but since you'll only be rendering 1 video a night im pretty sure a Core i5 will be enough.

Yeah the i5 will definitely be enough. Though I game with a stock fan just fine...I dont edit videos.
