My question is can I go out and buy a sound card, a cheap one, install it, and use my speakers through that? Or will the soundcard built into the mobo tell me to naff off and render the second sound card useless?
I'm running Win7 64 on a p5ql/epu mobo.
For some reason my headphones seem to work in the compromised back jack (3.5mm) (Though my speakers don't work but do on other computers), which is a little confusing. Any help on as to why that would be or some kind of MacGyver solution would be great also.
The Controller Information is: VIA High Definition Audio. I also have another Controller in the Playback Devices option called AnvSoft Virtual Sound Device, which isn't being used. Also my front jack is dead too so I can't bypass to that.
