Hello, and thanks for reading

I'm having this issue right now. I upgraded my CPU from an Athlon II X2 250 to a Phenom II X6 1045T.

First I made a huge research about compatibility and found that the CPU is compatible as said in http://www.asrock.com/mb/cpu.asp?Model=N68-S%20UCC

Mine is HDT45TWFK6DGR.

The problem:
Changed the CPU and it didn't showed anything in the monitor, neither it beeped one time. Fans went on but there was no post signal.

Then decided to change to the old CPU (Athlon) and it worked again. So I'm wondering if:

A. My motherboard has an issue OR
B. The CPU has an issue

Ok, I'll check and try that, and I'll let you know.

Not sure about that error message.

Maybe try P1.50 if it's available. Are you downloading the BIOS directly from ASRock's website?

Just looked at ASRocks website and I don't even see P1.60.

http://www.asrock.com/mb/download.asp?Model=N68-S%20UCC&o=BIOS

There's also different downloads for different update methods. Make sure the version you download is intended for the update method you intend to use.

Check out the link I posted. There are 3 different P1.5 downloads. (Window, DOS and Instant Flash.)

I have never updated an ASRock, but it seems that they can be updated three different ways.

You need to read up on your board and decide which method you want to use to update your BIOS, then download the update that matches your method.

Ok I solved the issue, TY very much.

This is what i did:

First after getting the Error: ROM file size incorrect I searched it and found that it was a problem due to and update not for that motherboard. Apparently ASRock has all his BIOS updates in a single page. Source : http://www.ddpsystems.com/bios_tech.html

After that, I downloaded every Bios Update until i got one that worked (P1.30 for Windows), Updated it and then installed the new CPU. (I'm working with it right now).

So that's all it was just a BIOS update Issue. Thank You very much again for your help, Z1NONLY.
