6870 vs 7770 question

I looking at getting a 6870 or a 7770 in replace of my 6770. I know the performance of the 6870 is far better than the 7770 but I only currently have enough money at the moment to buy either or. Now being that the 6870s aren't being made anymore, would it be better for me to get a 7770now and if later maybe mid summer time i were to crossfire that instead of getting 1 6870? Because There are no guarantees I could still get a 6870 easily by summer time.

Asus M5A97
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Processor

Will they more than likely still be available by summer time if I would want to crossfire a 6870 then?

I think you'll be fine... meaning they'll still be around. Amazon, Ebay, etc...
