AMD A10-5800k vs Intel i5-3570k?

I am trying to decide between 2 builds, one heading the AMD A10, while the other supports the i5. Which processor is better? Also, since the price of the i5 is higher, I have a 7850 as opposed to a 7950 on the AMD build. But everything else is essentially the same.

Opinions/Benchmarks welcome.

Unless the OP is simply trying to compare an AMD quad core APU to an Intel Ivy Bridge quad core CPU. No doubt the i5 will simply kill an A10 when it comes to pure CPU processing power.

I will probably switch to that then after it comes out (before I buy the build). And what motherboard would you suggest for that around $60? No doubt ASRock?

Easy, Go intel! however, the FX series are pretty good... but in this case, the i5 performs better.

What? It sounds like you have the wrong impression. He's saying that the AMD A10 APU is the competitor for the intel i3-3220. The intel i5-3570K far out performs AMD APUs.

The A10-5800K is a AMD Product, not an Intel. Pretty much anything with an "i" before it belongs to intel, and anything with a "A" or "FX" belongs to AMD
