Which plug? The plug to your modem/router/the rest of the internet will typically go in the plug that is off to the side from the others, it may be labeled WAN, or pictured with a globe logo.

The others, usually labeled with numbers...it doesn't matter which you plug in, they go to your computers, and it's really not something that they care about so much.
