Stock, although I'll buy a Coolermaster GeminII M4, looks nice in my opinion. The stock cooling is good enough if you don't overclock, the only reason I think you would want something other than stock cooling is if it was too loud, like in my case.
Probably not but download HWmonitor while playing games and monitor the temperatures. If it overheats than that answers your question and you will need to get an aftermarket cooling.
I have an i5 3550, and its stock fan is quite loud. I wouldn't get it just for heat removal, but rather just a means to end the noise. It overpowers 3 200mm fans in my case.
If you really want an aftermarket cooler, you don't need a big beast like the 212. Maybe get the next step down and go TX3 which is cheaper and easier to fit in the case. Zalman CPNS5X is good, too.
