Is a 6670 compatible with my PC

Hello, there! I wish to purchase a new video card for my PC. I own a Dell Dimensions 4700. Would a 6670 be compatible with this PC? If so, what graphical performance would I have with the new video card with an additional 2 GBs of RAM?

Technically, yes. It will be compatible but you're gonna run into some major bottlenecks.

Instead of investing in a new GPU, I would save up for a brand new computer.

I know you have a 305w PSU and your HDD is 80gigs unless you put something else in it. You have a P4 CPU. Now the 6670 according to AMD requires a 400w PSU. But not always the case.

Depending on the amps on the 12v rail of your PSU would determined if it will power that card. But you still have another problem. That GPU is just a bit fast for your P4 to keep up with.

That will cause you to have a lower preformence out of the card. Like stated above bottlenecking. My recommendation would be the same as above. Try to save money and buy a new rig. I linked you to your PC. Good luck to you.
