E8400 upgrade

Hello EVERYBODY,

I'm looking to upgrade my old broken as E8400 to something that offers a noticeable upgrade. I want to spend around 150 or lower. I will also have to upgrade my motherboard too, so all together I just wanna spend like $300. Any ideas.

Games I am looking to run are BF3, Guild Wars 2, and possibly Wow.

I got a GTX 560 ti that I love. * gigs of ram, plenty of power to go.

Ideas?

The Ram and Mobo are on backorder....

But thats a fairly good upgrade.

Thanks for the recommendations. I found a 3570k on amazon for $199. So I'm thinking about that now. I'm not sure if I like that board. I have a full size case so I think I would rather have a full ATX sized board for more options. SLI and a few more expansion slots.

That ram is awesome. I can't believe how cheap RAM has gotten.

I too went from an E8400 to an i5 3570k,
Got it at a sweet price too.
Haven't had much time to run it though, because of my HSF issue, waiting on the replacement to arrive.
