Hello,

I am using a AMD FX 8120 chip

I downloaded a CPU Temp tool called Core Temp 1.0, i just wanted to see what i was running at, and i'm going to buy a new heat sink it looks like, the stock one sucks

But the weirdest thing.

The temp monitor shows the usage of each Core, and the Mhz and voltages. Core 1 keeps going from 3.4ghz down to 1.4ghz, and the "VID" i think its voltage, keeps going from 1.4v down to .9v, and back up again. Is there something wrong?

And it says my core is running at 46*C which seems way high.
I disabled two cores, just messing around, and now the core temp is way higher

Any help?

*Edit: I went into my BIOS, and it had my cpu clock rate set to AUTO, so i changed it to 15.5 (15.5x200 makes 3.1ghz) so its at a fixed rate now, and its no longer fluctuating. still higher temperatures than when i started a few hours ago. It was at like 25*C idle, now its running at like 50....
