Athlon ii x4 610e and Inspiron 570

Does anyone know if I could put an athlon ii x4 610e in an inspiron 570 motherboard? If have asked at the Dell forums but was told they had only tested the 65w cpus and up. The BIOS and board should be able to deal with the 45w CPU shouldn't it?

A 570 motherboard should be able to fit up to a phenom cpu. But it says it is compatible with athlon II as well.

I was hoping, but didn't know for sure if it would be able to use the lower wattage cpus
