Galaxy GeForce GT430 Problems. card dead? HELP

Hi I just bought a Galaxy GeForce GT430 from TigerDirect (Card here) and installed it the other day. I deleted all old drivers with driver sweeper and installed all new drivers in safe mode. I used the drivers from the Nvidia website.

Well anyway once installed I booted my computer and after a lot of lag i got the bsod. That only happened like 2 times. After that, when i booted up I would get like an artifact screen. (I will post pictures) and a huge amount of lag, not even running anything. Now I cant even get the welcome screen up. Just a lit black screen on boot up.

Me and a friend thought at first it was my power supply (305W 18A on the + an - 12V Rails.) The minimum wattage on the card is 300W. But anyway I sent the card back for a refund and I am considering buying it again to see if it might have been a dead card.

Any thaughts on what my problem is?

Another thaught i had was that it is a PCI Express 2.0 card. I only have a PCI Express slot.

Here are my system specs

And specs from Speccy:

  1. Sounds like you got a bad card! The card is compatible with your slot!
