How do I speed up my connection (ms-ping)

Hello everyone,

My question is pretty straight forward,

I'm a online gamer and because we are in Australia our connection to servers around the world can be quite troubleing.

I've done a little fix through the registry to help packets being sent/received.

Is there anything that will greatly boost my connection ms-ping to the servers in america that anyone knows of. Apart from tunneling.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Would a new updated version router/modem help? Is there anything I can ask my ISP to check or possibly boost?

Most ping issues are at the ISP level, unless your hardware has issues, issues from that are pretty rare though compared to just having a slow connection. Router Firmware update is good start, update the chipset, BIOS and network drivers on the PC. After that, the ISP is the next step.
