Why don't we just put a new Forum area up called Product keys and then inside it put a sticky called something like "how to request a product key". Then inside the sticky we put a disclaimer about how toms won't support piracy etc and they should go else where.

Kind of like a trap, might catch a few of the rats coming through looking for free keys and give the mods less thread shutting down to do.

Just a thought.

Unfortunately people don't read stickies :(

Well OK but at least we could link to the sticky and that means a second page on the forum opened and more advertising revenue for Tom's :D

Subtle disagreement with the above - I wrote a post which was made Sticky in Wireless Networking and has had forty thousand or so reads. However, your point is well made because posters still ask the same old question and some entitle their thread with precisely the same name as the Sticky.

I'll never understand human nature - and I thought my own lot were weird! :D

Ok, I will agree with the suggestion being made in this thread, as long as I get a commission on the ad revenue. :sol:

I use that post a lot for a copy and paste link to answer that question that comes up over and over. :)
