Hey,

I did post earlier but I did not give much detail in my post.

So, I have a old-ish Acer Aspire AX1300 PC that I upgraded with a new PSU. I had to have the PSU outside the case, but it's not a major problem.

This is the PC, it's half height so I had some problems.

However, when I booted it up today I was greeted by the Windows 7 desktop like it was before I installed but also a mysterious ticking/clicking noise and my CPU fan was louder than usual. I checked out inside my case after crapping myself and turning it off, but nothing looked out of the ordinary (no wires touching fans, but one was touching the plastic case around the fan). I'm pretty sure it's not the click of death as it doesn't sound like that and the HDD was fine before I installed the new PSU.

Here's my specs:

AMD Phenom X3 8550
4GB DDR2 RAM
Hitachi Deskstar 1TB 5400RPM SATA
Hitachi DVD Drive SATA
Alpine 500W Blue
Integrated graphics but I plan to upgrade to a HD 6670

I really hope it's not a major problem like a cap or something.
