Firstly, i own this laptop:
Its a HP dv6-4023tx. Those of you who know HP, you get what i mean. =.=

Anyway, first question:

I used to game with ATI Powerplay On. Skyrim i get 30-60 FPS on High mode depending on where i am. Dragon age origins also gave an excellent FPS.
However with Powerplay on, i get:

Core temps 65-77 degrees, averaging 69/70, similar to Motherboard temperature
GPU temp 65-75, average 72
Cant find my HDD temperature, since HWMonitor doesnt show.

Now, either i game for 6h or more, or i dont game at all. But in this case, i will have a long term constant temperature of 65-77 since i do gaming.

If i turn powerplay off, the temperatures go from 55-69, rarely exceed 70. GPU is 15 deg cooler. This is better but should i rather leave Powerplay On? Is a difference of 7 -10 degrees dangerous?

Second question:
I cant find the 'mean-time before failure' and the 'max operating temp' for this video card. Any one know?

Third question:
For dragon age 2, the directX 11 minimum requirement is ATI 5850. I did a comparison and found out the desktop 5850 beats my GPU. Are there tweaks for me to play dragon age 2?

Solution
Put it on, GPUs are fine up to 90C. once it gets 90C then it starts to overheat. Since your GPUs are below 80C, you're fine with Powerplay on.

Play Dragon age 2 on lower settings.

If i turn powerplay off, i lose about 20 FPS, so skyrim is about 15-40 fps.
Not sure if i want to sacrifice performance for a slightly cooler laptop.
But if 77 deg is alright, then i would just leave it on.
