  1. SSD is tiny and the Velocipator HDD is too small and overkill.

    I think the case looks horrible, but that's personal opinion. It should work functionally fine.

    other than that, very good, but I doubt its worth $2600. You could save yourself some coin by building it yourself.
  2. Lets take a look at the things you can cut back on.

    Mobo: completely unnecessary. grab a UD3 or something cheaper, no need for quad sli if you are grabbing a 670.

    PSU: cooler master, not the best psu manufacturer but gold certified so not an issue I 'spose Though you can run your system overclocked with 2 670s on a 650w psu no problem.

    SSD: go bigger/better quality, crucial M4/vertex 3

    HDD: no need for a velociraptor with an SSD, grab a 1tb spin point f3 to save cash or some for of 2tb+, depends on what you want.

    Cooler: high end air cooling is the same performance as low end water cooling. grab a noctua/megahalems/hyper 212 EVO to save some money

    Ram: can't find specs on ram, make sure its 1.5v, also 2133 is completely unnecessary, 1600 is more then enough, hell im using 800mhz ddr2 alongside a 6870. Might aswell grab 16g of ddr3 1333 for the same price as those 2133 modules.

    CPU: if your not doing and virtual machine work/encoding/etc then grab an i5

    For gaming, the GTX670 is very good. A GTX680 would be awesome.
    Unless you are looking at triple monitor gaming or professional competition, more is not needed.

    A 3770 is good, but a $100 cheaper 3570K would be better. Few games use more than 2 or 3 cores, kaking the hyperthreads on the 3770 largely useless. Also, the "K" on the 3770K allows you to overcloc the chip from 3.4 to more like 4.4.

    The H100 is expensive, noisy, and does not cool significantly better than a good air cooler in a well ventilated case. A $20 cm hyper212 would suffice. For $80 or so, you can get a noctua NH-D14 which is one of the best.

    There is minimal improvement in fps with ram faster than 1600.
    Read this:

    If you want performance, buy a SSD. A 120gb SSD will hold the os and 6-10 games. If you need significantly more space, then add a 1tb hard drive.

    A GTX680 only needs a quality 550w psu. Even a GTX690 only needs a 650w psu.
    Coolermaster is not on my short list of quality psu's
    Look for Seasonic, XFX,PC P&C, Antec, or corsair.
    You will never pay back the added cost of gold rating psu's in electricity savings.
    If you want quiet, gold rating is good. Modular is not really needed, unless you are using a small form factor case. You will be using most of the leads on a properly sized psu anyway.

    If you are over provisioning the psu a bit, to 750w, then ok. If you are planning on sli, reconsider. The easiest upgrade is to sell your current card and replace it with a stronger one.
    In a year or two, there will be stronger and cheaper cards available. At that time, you will not want to spend on a duplicate card that is obsolete.

    Using a single card upgrade strategy, you can use a cheaper Z77 motherboard. Any will do, they all will oc to any sane level.
    Is there some feature of windows pro that you need? For most home users, the answer is no.

    For a pre built, price out the individual components and see how much over cost is being paid to the builder.

    You should be able to buy the parts and pay someone $100 or so to build it.
    Better yet, pay them to help YOU build it. The experience is priceless.

  8. You could get a different PSU i just added the 750W to the build in case you decide you want to run GTX 670 in SLI in future and still have breathing room
  9. The hardest part of building a PC is picking out the parts.
    After that, it's just plugging things in carefully, using ESD protection, and knowing what to do if something doesn't work (which if you get quality stuff typically isn't a problem).

    Building your own will not only save you money on the overhead the builder charges, but also it will keep you from wasting money on stupid things like Win7Pro, crappy watercooling, or a 1000W PSU.
