Newbie L2 cache question

16megs of ram have been "shared" out of the 256megs of memory...Can someone please explain how you do this and why you should or should not do it...

just call me crashomatic

What is is that is sharing the ram, Its usually things like Video cards that do that

Shared memory usually refers to onboard video which in some cases uses part of main system memory for video functions. The memory can be released or used as needed. That is why it is called "shared"

Where are you seeing this information? What motherboard or what computer are you using?
