Motherboard standoffs

I am doing a custom case for the first time, and the case is all plastic, do the standoffs I use for the motherboard need to be conductive to ground the MB or does it not matter as long as the bottom of the MB is not touching anything?

More about motherboard standoffs
  1. just use the standoffs included. the standoffs should be made of a metal
  2. I belive it dosn't matter about grounding them. I have seen several acrylic case's which appear to have isolated standofs.
  3. Plastic is not conductive so it does't matter. However I suggest you epoxy the standoffs so when you screw in the motherboard, you're not just spinning the standoffs in their holes from overtightening.
  4. Thanks, that will make my life a lot easier
