I'm considering buying a router, and am looking into the ASUS RT-N56U, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320062. However, it does not happen to support IPv6. Is there any disadvantage in the future (3-4 years down the line) to not having a router with IPv6 support?

Solution
Not really, a router is a disposable commodity, not a long-term investment, and you can and should be prepared to replace it.

If you're really worried, see if there's custom firmware such as DD-wrt or tomato that supports your router.
