Will this make a good render node for home use?

Hi everyone,

First post, although I've read many threads on this great forum! I use 3DS Max for some of my projects, and have decided to build a small render farm. This is a home studio, so space and noise are concerns. I was looking at Renderpro's RenderBoxx, because it satisfies all of my requirements except for one...PRICE!

I'm trying to solve the size/space issues using one of the compact cases from Shuttle. Since 3DS Max, in my configuration, is purely CPU intensive, I don't think I need a video card with this setup, because of the integrated processor video. This will NEVER be a workstation, simply a node. So, if you would be so kind as to look at this small render node, and provide your feedback, I would greatly appreciate it. Many thanks!

You will need a discrete graphics card for that setup as LGA2011 does NOT have integrated graphics. That is reserved for it's mainstream equivalent LGA1155.

I would also look at faster RAM as the motherboard supports up to 1600MHz RAM.
