I am looking for a camera for my wife. The Kodak CX7530 and the Canon
Powershot A520 are at the top of the list. She especially likes the
feel of the A520, but has not had any experience using either. Anyone
have an opinion?

The 2 things most important: super easy to use and good photos in
spite of less than optimal care in taking the photo. Next is
interfacing to the picbridge interface on the Cannon printer we have.

Now, the Kodak C360 looks very nice and looks like it is very easy to
hold. However, there are very few reviews. Is that because it is so
new? Anyone have any experience with this camera? Can anyone compare
with the other cameras mentioned?

Greetings Egander,

I do not have a wife but do have a girlfriend to whom I just gave my DX4330.

She is in love with it due to its ease of use and ability to connect to the
computer and the EasyShare Gallery. She can send the images up to the
gallery for storage and sharing as well as to her computer for additional
review and use. I showed her how to use the Share feature and she loved the
fact that she could email people as well as save the images or print them.
Of course the more current cameras have enhanced that feature with address
books and groups as well as more, including, of course, the C360 and CX7530.
EasyShare does this for you. I am pretty sure your wife would like the
features of both cameras. The 360 is really nice.

I have used it briefly and found it quite compact but that it had a good
feel in terms of weight and so on. Fits in your pocket or purse, as well. I
would check it out as well as any others you are considering, but bring your
wife with you so she can experience how the camera feels in her hands. I
think she would love the ease of use.

Anyway, let me know if you have any questions. Talk to you soon,

I took my wife out to look at cameras and she picked the A520 over the
Kodak CX7530 on feel alone. She liked the Kodak C340 (again, because
of the feel of the slight handle-like bulge on the right) and I really
wanted to have her see the C360, but no one had it. It looks even more
stylish and has a real nice handle-like bulge that I think she would
like. I have to pull the trigger, but hate to order something we have
not seen face to face. I don't think it will be in the retail stores
soon from what I see. I looked at Steve's Digicam review (which he
just got done with) and he gives it very good marks.

My inclination is to go ahead and get the C360, but I would sure hate
to be wrong. Her birthday is next Monday, so I need to order now.

By the way. Another feature she would like is that it would drive
itself to Walgreens and order its own pictures.

Better, probably, to upload the pictures, and pick them up at Wal-Mart.
Cheaper, for sure.

Hi Egander,

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the share button lets you order pictures
in the camera. So, when you place the camera on the dock or connect it to
your computer, it will email specified images to those you select from your
incamera email list, print a different or the same selection of images (from
an online service or via your printer dock), or save the picture for use in
the Favorites feature. Nice!

Talk to you soon,

Uhh. Scary. I hope she doesn't push the share button at the wrong
time sometime.

Well, I ordered the camera and it just came in. Gloria doesn't know it
is here yet. I looked at it. Sure is small, all right. I hope she
likes it. I feel like I took a chance ordering something that is not
even out in the retail market yet. My son did that with a Sony for his
wife, and I am not sure that they feel they made the best decision.

I just hope that she feels comfortable with it and likes the way it
works. She gets it on Sunday.

Eric

Greetings Egander,

Not to worry, Egander, you and she will love it. Great camera!!! Remember,
all good things come in small packages :-) Actually I think you will find
that the camera will do just about all that you might want and then some. I
found it to be very well designed and if I had your money, I would likely
get one for my girlfriend. Enjoy, and let me know if you think I can help
you.
