Ned advice on a new Graphics Card and Cooling system

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, Video Editing, Watching TV/Movies

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: ATI Radeon HD 4780 and Antec HCG-900 High Current Gamer Gaming PSU

CURRENT COOLING SYSTEM: Stock CPU fan

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: CPU: I7 2600K, RAM: Kingston HyperX 8G Kit(4Gx2) DDR3 1600, 1x 600gb WD HDD, 2x 1TB WD HDD

PARTS PREFERENCES: I would rather nvidia over ATI

OVERCLOCKING: No SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1080 55 inch Sony Bravia TV also have a Cheap acer 23 inch

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Im not a fan of water cooling please suggest a good fan and card im willing to go over budget but i don't think i would need to

Wait. Your budget is 900$ for a GPU and PSU? I would also suggest getting a new monitor then, TV's are bad as monitors, but if that ACER is 1080p, then it should be okay.

I sometimes go overboard on budget i like to have the best but i understand more money wont always mean better product that's why im here also the monitor situation is more a space problem i don't have room to setup my PC so i set my PC up on my TV screen

The CPU cooler looks great i was also looking at the GTX 680 but everywhere is sold out in Australia would you recommend ATI over nvidia

They are both great, I would have recommended the 680, but as your said, out of stock everywhere!

the 7970 supposedly is an extremely well overclocker. Though the recent price drop on the 77xx and the 7970 cards are fairly new, not sure if the cards in Australia have dropped in price yet, since the ones in the U.S on newegg are sitting around low 480$ to a higher 580$ (not sure how much that would cost between the 2 countries)

Well the lightning is at like 550$ here, but it's been out of stock for a long, long time, it's probably the best 7970.
